Connie Walsh received her BA in Art and art history at Colgate University, Hamilton, NY (1989) and received her MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, RI (1993). In addition to a summer residency at the Skowhegen School of Painting and Sculpture (1996) Walsh had had solo exhibitions at the Sculpture Center, New York, NY (2000), and at the Marianne Boesky Gallery, New York, NY (1998). Her work has been featured in numerous group exhibitions including: Mixed Greens Group Show, Space 101, Brooklyn, NY (2001); Aural Sex, Catherine Clark Gallery, San Francisco, CA; Blue Vinyl, Traywick Gallery, Berkeley, CA (2000); Raffle 2000, Sculpture Center, New York, NY (2000); Zingmagazine Curatorial Video Crossing, Sudhausarbar/Warteck PP, Basel Switzerland (1999); art club berlin, Informations Pavilion Das Neur Berlin, Berlin-Mitte, Germany (1999); Self Evident, Vaknin Schwartz, Atlanta, GA (1999); Tampering with the Reel: Artists Select Series, selected by Marina Abramovic, Artists Space, New York, NY (1997); SWEAT, Exit Art/The First World, New York, NY (1996); and Hybrid no. 7: Shapes and Forms in Formlessness, The Kitchen, New York, NY (1996). Walsh works and lives in New York City.
