Sarah Lucas initially was associated with the Young British Artists emanating from the Saatchi Gallery, London in the 1990s. Lucas studied at the Working Men's College, London (1982-83), the London College of Printmaking (1983-84) and at Goldsmith's College, London (1984-87). After participating in Damien Hirst's Freeze exhibition at the PLA building, London (1988), Lucas's fist solo was Penis Nailed to a Board at City Racing, London in 1992. In the following year Lucas participated in the "Young British Artists II" at the Saatchi Gallery, London, which was later followed by Sensation at the Brooklyn Museum of Art in 1999. Lucas's
work has been exhibited throughout the world. Her most recent
solo exhibitions include: Self-Portraits 1990-98, Tomio
