Elizabeth Campbell received her BFA from Truman State University, Kirksville, MO(1993) and her MFA from Ohio University (1997) before attending the Skowhegen School of Painting and Sculpture, Skowhegen, ME (1997). Campbell has had solo exhibitions at Roebling Hall, Brooklyn, NY (2000) and at White Columns, New York, NY (2000). Her work has been included in several high profile exhibitions including: Temporary Residents, organized by the Public Art Fund as a new commission for the Commons at Metrotech Center, Brooklyn, NY (2001); Brooklyn! Palm Beach Institute of Contemporary Art, Palm Beach, FL (2001); Platypus, Lawrence Rubin-Greenberg Van Doren Fine Art, New York, NY (2001); breathless, Lombard Fried Fine Arts, New York, NY (2001); Another Cusp, The Clifford Gallery, Colgate University, Hamilton, NY (2001); Artext, Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning, Jamaica, NY (2001); Drawings by Three Artists, Gallery Joe, Philadelphia, PA (2001); Fresh: The Altoids Curiously Strong Collection, (travelling exhibition organized by the New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York, NY (2001); The Space Around the Architect, Socrates Sculpture Park, Queens, NY (2000); Tomorrow, Rare, New York, NY (2000); Greater New York, PS 1 Contemporary Art Center, New York NY (2000); and Outer Boroughs, White Columns, New York, NY (1999).

Campbell has been awarded many grants and fellowships, including: Art Omi residency program, Atlantic Center for the Arts Fellowship, Rema Hort Man Foundation Art Grant; World Views, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council studio residency program at the World Trade Center; Emerging Artist Fellowship, Socrates Sculptural Park; and Artist in the Market Place Program, Bronx Museum. Campbell currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
